Define the field task before requesting quotations. Field Link Sourcing is an independent procurement service connecting buyer requirements with potential factory options.
Describe the crop, seed treatment, planting rate, soil, residue and working area. State working width in m or ft, row spacing in mm or inches, and required depth adjustment. Record tractor engine power and available PTO horsepower separately when a powered implement is proposed. A drill seeder request without its operating conditions leaves too much room for suppliers to quote different machines.
We organize the specification and identify questions for potential suppliers. The request asks for the exact configuration, metering system, opener arrangement, drive type and implement interface. It also asks for a parts diagram, operating manual and a model-specific compatibility statement. Supplier screening is a review task; listing an option is not evidence that a factory has been audited, authorized or accepted.
Compare equipment price, packing, freight basis, destination handling, inspection and service scope in a consistent currency and quantity. Keep optional accessories and substitute configurations on separate lines. Request MOQ, sample or demonstration availability and production timing from the specific supplier. No standard MOQ or delivery period is assumed here, and a quoted completion date should be distinguished from arrival at the buyer's farm.
For calibration, ask the supplier to state seed type, test setting, collected mass, test distance and repeat procedure so the buyer can assess the method. Request photographs of the exact hitch, hydraulic connectors and drive arrangement, with dimensions where relevant. Installation, commissioning, training and spare-part responsibilities need a written allocation before order acceptance. A desk review cannot replace a field trial or qualified inspection.
A buyer may prioritize a simple mechanical arrangement, serviceable components or more extensive controls. Add an optional budget with currency and per-unit or whole-order basis, then indicate premium, mid-range, budget-friendly or undecided preference.
